Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Assembly:
  • Install and assemble instrument tubing and piping systems for fluid and gas lines in accordance with the engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure correct installation of components, such as valves, fittings, pressure gauges, and other instrumentation.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics for the installation of instrument tube systems.
  • Tube Fitting & Maintenance:
  • Cut, bend, and install instrument tubing using appropriate tools (e.g., tube benders, cutters, flaring tools).
  • Perform pressure tests and leak checks on installed systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation lines, valves, and associated equipment.
  • Replace damaged tubes, fittings, and valves ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Safety & Quality Assurance:
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship, ensuring that all systems and equipment meet quality specifications and standards.
  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to ensure the integrity of installed systems.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other technical teams to ensure proper installation and functionality of instrumentation systems.
  • Provide input on designs, particularly in areas concerning installation efficiency and safety.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Document all modifications made to systems and communicate these to the relevant departments.
  • Equipment Handling:
  • Safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery required for tube fitting and instrument installation.
