Analyst – US Mortgage Accounting
FinacPlus provide virtual business process services to various types of overseas clients and this position is to be part of the team which provides accounting support to a Private Hard Money Lender from the US Mortgage Finance industry.
Position Overview:
As an accountant, you need to work closely with the accounting team to produce and manage complete bookkeeping and financial statements. You'll participate in bookkeeping, reporting, and producing financial statements in the context of real estate lending. You will be responsible for managing daily accounting needs, ensuring accuracy in detailed bookkeeping, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including ledger entries and reconciliations.
Manage daily banking tasks including T+1 reporting, Positive Pay review, and cashflow reconciliation.
Utilize QuickBooks Online for financial processing and reporting tasks.
Assist in the review and entry of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in the reconciliation of loan and escrow balances as related to real estate and financing.
Engage in special projects and analyses under the guidance of the finance team.
Maintain accurate financial statements.
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2-3 years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in bookkeeping practices and principles.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Must have experience in QuickBooks Online. QBO ProAdvisor certification is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A self-starter with a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
Have the ability to ask questions, learn new skills, and work as a team.
LOCATION: Hi-Tech City, Hyderabad,
TIMINGS: IST 6:30pm to 3:30am
