Job Description:-

·       Perform a variety of activities involving the coding of medical records by assigning accurate diagnosis and CPT codes as per ICD-10 CM and CPT-4 systems of coding

·       Perform Coding for Radiology Charts with a minimum of 98% accuracy and as per turnaround time requirements

·       Exceeds the productivity standards for Radiology Medical Coding - as per the productivity norms for inpatient and/or specialty specific outpatient coding standards

·       Maintains high degree of professional and ethical standards

·       Focuses on continuous improvement by working on projects while being in compliant with the standards

·       Focuses on updating coding skills, knowledge, and accuracy by participating in coding team meetings and educational conferences

·       Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) and coding software.

·       Knowledge of radiology procedures and terminology

·       Experience in researching and applying coding rules and regulations.

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·       Have a positive, respectful attitude.

 

Requirements:-

To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the following qualification criteria:

·       Graduates in life sciences with 2 - 3 years of experience in Medical Coding for Radiology specialty including pro-fee and facility setting

·       Exposure to CPT-4, ICD-10 CM, and HCPCS coding

·       Must be a certified coder through AHIMA and/or AAPC, with active certification license

·       Athena Experience will be Added advantage
