About the Role


Based offshore, the Junior QA Specialist will report to the AI Data and QA Manager (Sydney based) and provide support to the Software and AI team to ensure product releases go live without minimal defects.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct ongoing testing of all current and future releases.
  • Maintaining and assisting in creating thorough test documentation for current and future releases.
  • Label content such as text, audio, images, and video so it can be recognised by our software.
  • Participate in video observation as required to enhance the understanding of the workflow and relevant data collection.
  • Follow the instructions for different tasks and adhere to processes. Raise questions with AI Data and QA Manager as needed and report routine work.
  • Support the AI Data & QA manager with any ad hoc requests.
  • Support the end-to-end test process (online reviewing or downloading videos).


Please note that due to the nature of the industry, this position will be required to view meat processing content involving primary and secondary processors (e.g., beef, chicken, lamb, pork).

Experience and Competencies


  • Recently completed tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, majoring in Accounting/Project Management is highly desirable.
  • 1-2 years prior experience in Quality Assurance or Annotation.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
  • Good English communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A high degree of attention to detail.
  • Sound ability to understand and follow instructions and learn the required processes.
  • A strong and collaborative team player.
