Commodity Analyst

Job Description

Analyst / Sr. Analyst is required to perform duties as per the below enlisted description

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of global commodity markets, including but not limited to energy, metals, agriculture, and soft commodities.
• Monitor market developments, news, and geopolitical events to identify potential opportunities and risks impacting commodity prices.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast commodity price movements and assess market dynamics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and refine analytical methodologies.
• Prepare and present insightful reports, presentations, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance analysis capabilities.
• Provide ad hoc support and analysis for special projects and initiatives as required.

Education and other skills:

• CA/CFA/MBA having over 1-2 years of experience in commodity analysis, trading, or research within a financial institution, commodity trading firm, or related industry.
• Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and financial modeling techniques.
• Excellent understanding of commodity markets, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and trading strategies.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts and insights effectively to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a passion for staying ahead of market trends.
