Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Assistant Manager in the Design Engineering team within the New product Development Department, located in Bangalore Urban. As a part of the Core NPD team, the Assistant Manager Design Engineering will mentor and lead the Design engineering team and oversee day-to-day design engineering tasks related to IMOS library management, Design-to-Engineering-to-Production compatiblity and related processes. An ideal candidate is expected to hold the below quaifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelors/Masters in Engineering or relevant field.
- Mentoring of Design Engineering team, Engineering Team Reporting and Management skills.
- Extensive Experience (Min 5 years) in IMOS Back end support and Library Creation & Management.
- CAD and Design Software Skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Engineering team handling skills.
- Technically strong Modular furniture knowledge.
- Production Design & Shopfloor handing skills.
- Sound knowledge of Modular Furniture production machineries/tools/softwares involved.
- Must have IMOS software CPs and PDs creation skill set.
- Understadning of Value engineering in Modular furniture industry.
- Pricing & Cost optimisation Skills.
- Prototyping & Technical Support to Design Engineering Team.
- Basic understanding of BIM software UI and functionalities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to proprietary inhouse softwares.
