About the Role:


As part of the UX team at Cvent, content designers bring empathy, delight, and a human-centered approach to UX design. We do more than just look at the words. We advocate for our users by collaborating with product designers, researchers, product managers, and more to craft a product narrative that guides users through our products and gets them the information they need when they need it. In This Role, You Will:


• Advocate for, and be an influential member of content design and UX throughout the organization

• Partner in defining and driving the vision and strategy for UXCD as a practice

• Partner in defining and driving the vision and strategy for Cvent products at the platform level, and guiding implementation through products

• Mentor junior designers in developing key skills, and provide some career development guidance

• Actively participate in mentoring and other activities that actively contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, healthy team culture within UX as a whole

• Lead partnership and collaboration efforts with PMs, marketing, and other stakeholders to steer continuity and consistency of language across the Cvent suite of products

• Participate in business thinking discussions to identify and share in aligning UX objectives with business objectives, user needs, and revenue goals

• Lead content-focused research initiatives and analysis independently and in collaboration with UX Research, including delegating projects to junior designers to learn the same

• Review and provide feedback to junior content designers that supports growth and change towards higher quality work



Here's What You Need:


• Bachelor or Master degree in English, Writing, Communications, Design, or related field

• 10+ years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, or related field

• 3+ years of management/leadership experience.

• Content design experience with a focus on software applications

• Strong leadership, strategic and analytical thinking, communication, problem solving, influencing, and interpersonal skills

• Someone who can lead and mentor junior content designers

• Experience in goal setting, coaching, and developing individuals to achieve targeted results

• Passion for creating a great user experience and improving people’s lives through design and technology

• Experience working with product designers, engineers, and product managers

• Understand human-centered design principles and techniques

• Ability to see the big picture, but also pay attention to the details

• Interest in growth, learning, and receiving feedback to improve skills

• Strong eye for grammar and a deep respect for content style, voice, and tone

• Ability to manage personal and project timelines

• Can adapt to different situations and has strong emotional intelligence
