Department: Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)-Accreditations &Quality Assurance

Reports To: Dean –Academics, Accreditation& Quality Assurance

Job Summary:

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the collection, organization, analysis, and dissemination of data across the university. This role is central to supporting the university’s quality assurance processes by maintaining an accurate and comprehensive data repository that informs decision-making, accreditation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Repository Management:
  • Develop and manage a centralized data repository system that stores, organizes, and protects all critical academic, relevant administrative, and research data.
  • Ensure that data is accurately collected, regularly updated, and accessible to authorized stakeholders.
  • Data Collection and Validation:
  • Coordinate with various academic and administrative departments to collect relevant data, including student performance, faculty achievements, research outputs, and institutional resources.
  • Implement rigorous validation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data stored in the repository.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze data to identify gaps in the required information from the academic programs, if any.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards that provide insights for decision-making by university leadership and support accreditation requirements.
  • Accreditation and Compliance Support:
  • Provide data support for accreditation processes, including preparing and submitting reports required by national accreditation bodies (NAAC, NBA, etc.).
  • Ensure that the data repository aligns with regulatory requirements and supports compliance with national and international quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with academic departments, administrative units, alumni group and employers to collect information for stakeholder surveys.
  • Confidentiality and Security:
  • Ensure that all data within the repository is stored securely and that access is restricted to authorized personnel in compliance with university policies and regulations.
  • Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information and maintain the confidentiality of student, faculty, and institutional data.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in data management, quality assurance, or higher education management is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data management, quality assurance, or a related role within the higher education sector.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, database systems, and data analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in software (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel, BI tools).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
