Job Title: Odoo Developer (Full Time) Location: Remote Experience Required: 4+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time About Edept.co  Edept.co is an EdTech and CareerTech company building a unified platform that empowers colleges, students, and professionals to bridge skill gaps and prepare for global careers. We are developing our own custom Odoo CRM ecosystem to manage Sales, Marketing, HR, Accounts, Branding, Admissions, and Analytics Dashboards — all tightly integrated with AI and automation. Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Odoo Developer who can design, develop, implement, and maintain our custom CRM on Odoo Community Edition. You’ll work closely with our Product and Tech teams to translate business requirements (defined in our PRD) into fully functional Odoo modules — covering CRM, HR, Marketing, and Reporting dashboards. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy custom Odoo modules for: CRM (Sales, Leads, Opportunities, Activities) Marketing automation & 7-touch lead nurturing journeys HR Management (Employee data, onboarding workflows) Dashboard & Analytics (AI-driven reporting, KPIs) Integration with WhatsApp, Email, and Telephony APIs Customise and extend Odoo Community/Enterprise Edition. Build advanced workflows, automations, and approval systems. Integrate Odoo with third-party tools (Zoho, Google Workspace, etc.). Create and maintain database models, backend logic, and API endpoints. Ensure code quality through version control (Git) and documentation. Optimise performance, scalability, and system security. Collaborate with UI/UX and QA teams for module testing and deployment. Support the migration of legacy data into Odoo modules. Required Skills & Experience 4+ years of hands-on experience in Odoo development (Community & Enterprise). Strong understanding of Odoo architecture, ORM, workflows, views, and models. Proficiency in Python, XML, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL. Experience in custom module development and Odoo APIs. Familiarity with Linux environments, shell scripting, and deployment (Docker is a plus). Knowledge of REST APIs and integration with third-party platforms (e.g., Plivo, WhatsApp, or Email systems). Experience with Report customization (QWeb, PDF, XLSX). Understanding of user roles, access rights, and RLS policies. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and handle end-to-end implementation. Preferred Skills Experience with OCA modules and Odoo.sh or AWS hosting. Exposure to AI/ML integrations or analytics dashboards. Prior experience implementing CRM for B2B/B2C companies. Understanding of Sales pipelines, lead scoring, and marketing automations.
