You will own HA/DR, performance tuning, schema optimization, and compliance for mission-critical healthcare data.Key Responsibilities:Lead administration, performance tuning, and HA/DR support for PostgreSQL databases.Implement encryption, masking, and auditing mechanisms for HIPAA compliance.Design partitioning, indexing, and archival strategies for 10–20 TB datasets.Mentor junior DBAs and collaborate with DBE (Database Engineer) for model optimization.Collaborate with teams for database modeling and ensuring best practicesMaintain database versioning using tools like Liquibase, flaywayAutomate backup, monitoring, and patching processes.Required Skills & Experience:8+ years as a DBA with strong Postgres expertise.Deep knowledge of query optimization, replication, logical decoding, and CDC.Experience with RDS/Postgres on AWS and on-prem migration.Healthcare/EHR database experience is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:8+ years in Postgres DBA roles (RDS, Aurora, on-prem).Expertise in HA/DR (Patroni, pgpool, AlwaysOn, replication).Strong skills in partitioning, indexing, CDC, performance tuning.Familiarity with Liquibase or Flyway for schema versioning.Prior work on 10+ TB HIPAA-compliant systems.
