We are seeking a Senior Database Architect with expertise in Presales, Solution Architecture, and TCO propositions for Database Management Systems, covering areas such as Cloud Databases, On-Premise Solutions, and Database as a Service (DBaaS). The candidate will be responsible for leading engagements with OEMs, defining winning strategies and propositions related to the database stack, and taking end-to-end ownership of proactive/RFP-based solution proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver on proactive/RFP-based solution proposals with a strong focus on value engineering.
  • Develop collaterals, industry trends, and points of view (PoVs), client visit presentations, and thought leadership articles.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Presales, and Alliance Teams to build relevant partnerships with major solution providers and service providers with complementary skills.
  • Conceptualize and develop frameworks, accelerators, or solutions for specific needs.
  • Conduct periodic reviews with the leadership team on service line operations, progress, and overall direction.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience in solution activities: Proposal Creation, RFP response, Estimates, and preparing business cases for Database Migration, Modernization, and Transformation.
  • Collaborate with Delivery teams for Knowledge Repository Management, Case Studies, and Service.
  • Knowledge of designing database architectures and support models for the following areas:
  • Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis.
  • Cloud database solutions like Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, and Google Cloud Spanner.
  • Security (encryption, access control, data masking).
  • Experience with database modeling and documentation software, with the ability to read and create database architecture diagrams.
  • Familiarity with a variety of database, cloud, and security concepts and practices.
  • Experience in database performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills with the ability to present the value proposition effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or AWS Certified Database - Specialty.
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
  • Extensive experience in database architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Proven track record in leading database migration and modernization projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with emerging database technologies and trends, including big data and analytics solutions.
  • Experience in developing and delivering technical training and workshops.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for database management.
