Senior Salesforce Developer

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join our team at Life Insurance Direct. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions across Service and Sales Cloud, ensuring that our technology continues to support and transform customer experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, act as a key point of technical leadership, and deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that align with business goals.This position is perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, and wants to be part of a company that is changing the landscape of Insurtech in Australia.This is a 100% remote role - working Sydney, Australian hours - Mon-Fri.Key Responsibilities·       Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of Salesforce applications, integrations, and enhancements.·       Build and maintain Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex Classes, Triggers, Visualforce, and Flows.·       Collaborate with the product owner, designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.·       Ensure solutions follow Salesforce best practices, governance, and security standards.·       Working closely with our other Development team across other technologies·       Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and ensure code coverage.·       Manage deployments using CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Git, ANT, DevOps).·       Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, ensuring system reliability and performance.·       Stay up to date with emerging Salesforce technologies, including AI-powered tools and integrations.·       Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs and user guides.Skills & Experience Required·       Fluent English communication skills - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills·       5+ years of Salesforce development experience, including Service Cloud and Sales Cloud.·       Proficiency in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and asynchronous processing·       Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture, configuration, and security (roles, profiles, permissions).·       Experience with APIs, REST/SOAP web services, and integration patterns.·       Knowledge of advanced Apex patterns like bulkification, trigger frameworks, asynchronous processing (Future, Queueable, Batch Apex, Scheduled Apex)·       Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification (mandatory); Platform Developer II and/or Service/Sales Cloud Certification (preferred).·       Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.·       Prior experience in Agile/Scrum environments.·       Ensure solutions follow best practices in performance, security, and maintainabilityDesirable (Nice-to-Have):·       Exposure to Amazon Connect, Low code platforms and PHP.·       Experience with SMS, email nurturing solutions or Marketing Cloud.·       Knowledge of AI/automation within Salesforce.·       Experience of working in Insurance domainAbout Life Insurance DirectAt Life Insurance Direct, we lead the way in guiding, safeguarding, and securing Australian families' futures.
