Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Propulsion Test Engineer at Hathor Rockets in Thiruvananthapuram. The Propulsion Test Engineer will be responsible for conducting tests on rocket propulsion systems, analyzing test results, identifying performance issues, and collaborating with the engineering team to enhance propulsion systems.


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of aerospace engineering principles and propulsion system design
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in rocket propulsion testing or a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of rocket propulsion systems, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and combustion processes.
  • Experience with test facility setup, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
  • Hands-on experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar tools for data analysis and system control.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols in high-risk testing environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
