Role Description: AWS Data Engineer

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology developer with experience in developing scalable applications and platforms. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. The person should be a self-motivated person with a passion for problem solving and continuous learning.

Role and responsibilities

  • Collect requirements, design, develop and test software code.
  • Fix bugs and provide production support.
  • Prioritize across multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Learn new technologies outside his/her primary skills.
  • Develop solutions to challenging problems.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, project managers and clients, as required.


Technical skills requirements

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

  • Minimum 4 years' experience with Python
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with SQL
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with AWS Cloud Data Platform
  • Experience with the following AWS Services ECS, EKS, ECR, S3, EC2, VPC, Route 53, Lambda, API Gateway, AWS Glue, Event Bridge, Cloud Watch, IAM, RDS, Back up Services, Systems Manager.
  • 2+ years of experience with Docker containers
  • Implementation and management of cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform scripting)
  • Participate in business process analysis, use case creation, and requirements definition.
  • Familiarity with writing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and creating deployment automations.
