Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic SDET Senior Architect, who is passionate about quality and automation, and looking for a challenging ground-up opportunity. The architect will be responsible for delivering the complete automation test tools while adhering to the best automation practices/principles. He/She will work with teams of developers, testers, and application architects to implement consistent approaches to automated testing. They will also help provide coaching and mentoring to the QE Automation engineers on standards and best practices of automation. In addition, they will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of improvements to our automated testing framework, tooling, and pipelines, with the goal of improving testing adoption and quality of the platform company-wide. Thinking of new ways to implement features that find issues and problems in product designs.


Responsibilities:

  1. A highly capable SDET Senior Architect professional who provides solutions to highly configurable, customizable, multi-tenant SaaS software applications, offering creative problem-solving skills with experience in custom tool analysis, framework development, optimization, continuous integration/Testing, and mentoring the team
  2. Ability to design, build, optimize, and maintain automation framework using industry best practices and leading automation tools
  3. Extensive experience in designing, and developing automation architecture, design, performance testing framework, and maintaining test scripts in Selenium, API, Compatibility, Performance, and Security
  4. Provide guidelines and recommendations on different tools, languages, and technologies
  5. Create, advocate, and coach test automation best practices to team members
  6. Developing the tools and processes for cost savings, repeatability, and improving quality
  7. Design, automate, and execute tests
  8. Must be able to identify, assess, and resolve complex business problems/issues/risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation


Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of experience building Test Automation Frameworks, including hands-on knowledge of automation tools, frameworks, and best practices
  2. 8+ years' experience in development in enterprise-level applications & architecting test automation frameworks for the same
  3. Expert knowledge of testing frameworks and test design patterns like BDD, TDD, Page Objects, etc
  4. Expert understanding of SDLC and QA frameworks, metrics analysis, methodologies, and documentation standards
  5. Experience on API Automation using REST APIs and Web services
  6. Test Script development, maintenance, and execution
  7. Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their automation tools.
  8. Experience with industry-standard tools for defect tracking, source code management, test case management, test automation, and other management and monitoring tools
  9. Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery


Experience in the following:

  • Java
  • UI Test Automation Framework experience, such as Protractor, Selenium WebDriver, Webdriver.io, or similar
  • SQL/Database testing
  • REST API Automated Testing using Java, TestNG, RestAssured, or similar
  • Load Testing and Performance Testing tools such as Jmeter, Gatling, or similar tools/frameworks.
  • CI/CD via Jenkins or similar
  • Web application Security Testing
  • Source control tool like GitHub
