Position - Senior Software Engineer (Java and GCP)

Location – Gurgaon, Pune (Work from office)

Experience - 5 to 7 years


Must-Have:

  • Tech-savvy engineer - willing and able to learn new skills, and track industry trends.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software development with a strong Java programming background.
  • Strong application development skills using Java, and Spring Boot applications.
  • Experience/Understanding in GCP offerings like GKE, GCS, Big Query, Data Proc, etc.
  • Strong experience in Maven, and Gradle.
  • Strong experience in CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, UCD, etc.
  • Strong experience in REST API development and best practices.
  • Good understanding of the service mesh paradigm.
  • Good Understanding of design patterns, and common concepts such as caching, logging, troubleshooting, performance tuning, etc.
  • Experience in containerization using docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Self-starter & resourceful personality with the ability to manage pressure situations.
  • Exposure to Scrum and Agile Development Best Practices.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Great to have:

  • Experience in migration of microservices-based applications to GCP cloud will be plus.
  • Experience in Big data related technologies like Hadoop, PySpark, Hive, etc.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Application development using Java, Spring Boot, REST web services.
  • Modernization of Java applications for GCP Cloud migration.
  • Support migration of Java, SpringBoot-based microservices & Data to GCP Cloud.
  • Working with customers on a daily basis to ensure smooth engagement.
  • Responsible for timely and quality deliveries.
  • Fulfil organization responsibilities – Sharing knowledge and experience with the other groups in the organization, conducting various technical training sessions.
  • This role is WFO for all 5 days/week.
