What will you do?

The Packaging Design Lead will be responsible for leading the design and development of all packaging solutions for our product lines. This role involves collaborating closely with various departments, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure that our packaging not only reflects our brand values but also enhances the customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packaging design, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for sustainability.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Packaging Design Lead to join our creative team and help us elevate our packaging to the next level.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Packaging Design: Oversee the entire packaging design process from concept to production, ensuring all designs align with brand guidelines and product requirements.
  • Creative Direction: Develop and maintain the visual aesthetic for all packaging, providing clear and inspiring creative direction to the design team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure packaging solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and align with overall business goals.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to introduce innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple packaging design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the production process to ensure the highest quality standards are met for all packaging materials and printing techniques.
  • Customer Focus: Understand and incorporate customer feedback and insights into packaging design to enhance the unboxing experience and build brand loyalty.
  • Sustainability: Champion eco-friendly practices in packaging design, sourcing sustainable materials, and optimizing designs to reduce environmental impact.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with packaging suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the best quality and pricing.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in design from tier 1 institution. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in packaging design, preferably within a D2C or consumer goods company.
  • Proven track record of leading successful packaging design projects from concept to launch.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of packaging design work.
  • Proficiency in creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive creative decisions.
  • Exceptional project management and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Understanding of e-commerce and online consumer behavior.
  • A passion for staying updated on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing and design.
