Job Summary:

As a Sr. Payroll/Team Lead - Payroll at IMS Decimal, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process for the Australian region. You will manage a dedicated payroll team, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services while ensuring compliance with local tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies. This role requires strong leadership skills, a detailed understanding of payroll operations, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure effective and efficient payroll processing.
  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll cycle for the Australian region, including salary calculations, tax withholdings, benefits, deductions, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time while adhering to local statutory requirements and deadlines.
  • Handle complex payroll-related queries from clients and internal teams, ensuring resolution in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular audits and ensure data accuracy and completeness for payroll reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT) to improve payroll processes and systems.
  • Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to clients, ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate effectively to address their specific payroll needs and concerns.
  • Drive continuous improvements in payroll procedures and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation, tax rates, and other factors that may impact payroll processing.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant payroll experience, with at least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role.
  • Hands-on experience in managing end-to-end payroll processing for the APAC region, specifically for Australia.
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll laws, taxation, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Proven experience in client handling and providing exceptional customer service.
  • High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in payroll software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in outsourcing payroll services to clients in the Australian region.

Certification in Payroll Management or related field.
