Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager with 3–5 years of relevant experience to join our Cochin team. This position involves driving local enterprise sales and fostering international partnerships. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, and achieving measurable business outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Research and identify potential clients in local and international markets.
  • Client Acquisition: Develop and execute strategies to connect with prospects, present solutions, and acquire clients.
  • Sales Cycle Ownership: Handle all stages of sales, including lead nurturing, proposal development, negotiations, and closing deals.
  • International Partnerships: Build and strengthen relationships with global partners to drive mutual growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Create and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals to penetrate target markets.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the CPaaS sector.
  • Performance Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records, analyze performance metrics, and present reports to leadership.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Revenue Targets: Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Lead Conversion Rate: Effectively convert leads into paying customers.
  • Client Retention: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy and active sales pipeline with consistent follow-ups.
  • Partnership Development: Successfully onboard new international partners and grow existing partnerships.
  • Market Penetration: Increase brand presence and client base in targeted regions.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Deliver solutions that meet client expectations and maintain high satisfaction scores.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: 3–5 years in business development, preferably in CPaaS, software, or communication technology sales.
  • Sales Expertise: Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or surpass sales targets.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to craft and execute tailored strategies for different market segments.
  • Self-Motivation: A go-getter with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to collaborate with internal teams and mentor junior sales team members when required.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with communication solutions or software sales is a strong plus.
