Our Spare Parts Division provides high-quality replacement parts and accessories for our machinery, ensuring customers experience reliable performance and minimal downtime. We are looking for a dynamic Sales Person to manage and grow the spare parts business in the Rest of the World (ROW) region.
Position Overview
The Sales Person for the ROW Spare Parts Division will be responsible for driving sales of spare parts and accessories for Bonhoeffer Machines across international markets outside of our primary focus regions. The role will involve identifying new business opportunities, managing relationships with distributors, dealers, and end customers, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of machinery parts, a proven sales background, and a strategic mindset to grow our global spare parts business.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development:
Identify and develop new sales opportunities for spare parts in international markets, focusing on regions including Africa, Asia, South America, and Oceania.
Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and expand Bonhoeffer Machines’ spare parts presence globally.
Promote and upsell Bonhoeffer’s full range of spare parts, including machine components, accessories, and tools.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain long-term relationships with distributors, dealers, and end-users in the ROW.
Provide expert advice and technical support to customers on spare part requirements and compatibility with existing machines.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing timely responses to queries, offering solutions to problems, and ensuring product availability.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Work closely with the Spare Parts Manager and other internal teams to develop and implement tailored sales strategies for the ROW market.
Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs through proactive sales techniques and effective follow-ups.
Monitor and adjust strategies to maximize sales opportunities, considering market trends, seasonal demands, and competitor actions.
Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and opportunities for growth within the ROW.
Keep up to date with product developments, spare part innovations, and the competitive landscape.
Prepare detailed reports and forecasts on sales activities, market conditions, and competitor analysis.
Sales Presentations & Negotiations:
Conduct virtual and in-person product demonstrations, technical consultations, and sales presentations to international clients.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with international clients to secure profitable sales agreements.
Work with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of orders.
Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure the smooth delivery of spare parts to international customers.
Address any logistical or supply chain issues that may affect timely deliveries or customer satisfaction.
Travel & Representation:
Travel as needed to key markets to build relationships, conduct business meetings, and attend trade shows or industry events.
Represent Bonhoeffer Machines at international conferences and exhibitions related to machinery and spare parts.
Qualifications
Experience:
5 plus years of experience in sales, with a strong focus on spare parts or technical products, preferably in the industrial machinery sector.
Proven ability to develop new business and manage international accounts, with experience in distributor and dealer management.
Strong knowledge of spare parts sales, technical specifications, and machinery compatibility.
Skills:
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, especially in technical sales and customer service scenarios.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Technical knowledge of machinery and spare parts is a significant advantage.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, etc.) is a plus.
Other:
Willingness to travel internationally to support business development and client relationships.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong desire to meet and exceed sales targets.
