Key Responsibilities:
- Understand User Requirement Specifications and preparation of System Requirement Specifications, which shall include site survey and interaction with customers.
- Identifying purpose, function, and performance requirements of the electrical system, as well as the budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
- Contribution in preparing concept design of system architectures and functional requirements.
- Basic design, design analysis and simulation/validation
- Preparation of documentation for design & development, including Electrical drawings, cable schedules, terminal connection details, and interface control documentation.
- Contribution towards selection of hardware and components as per technical specifications and preparation of purchase specifications.
- Preparation of technical offers for optimum costing.
- Interaction with the project management team and assistance to the production team during integration and execution of the project.
- Testing, trials.
- Site (onboard) installation supervision, setting to work, and completing harbour/sea trials and support.
Personality traits / Competencies:
- Sound understanding of User specifications for electrical and control equipment in defence applications.
- Sound knowledge on control system architecture, algorithms and hardware.
- Able to understand and prepare electrical drawing schematics.
- Exposure to system integration, testing and offering trials to customers.
- Knowledge on application of International and Indian Standards for electrical and control systems.
- Hands-on experience in using MS Office and Excel.
- A good team player and leader.
- Result oriented and diligent.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Job Specifications/Profile:
- BE/BTECH / ME / MTECH (Electrical & Electronics/Controls & Instrumentation).
- 6-12 years of experience in the Defence sector is preferred.
