Job Description: Construction Manager – Chemical Greenfield Project (EPC)Position: Construction ManagerExperience: 18+ YearsIndustry: EPC / Chemical / Process PlantProject Type: Chemical Greenfield ProjectJob type: Contract 1year extendable Location: Rann of Kutch - GujaratRole OverviewThe Construction Manager will lead and oversee all site construction activities for a large-scale chemical greenfield project. The role involves managing multidisciplinary construction works, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives while coordinating with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.Key Responsibilities1. Project & Site ManagementLead end-to-end construction execution for the chemical greenfield project.Prepare and implement construction execution plans, work schedules, resource plans, and site logistics.Ensure construction progresses as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards.2. Technical & Execution OversightSupervise civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and structural works.Review and validate method statements, ITPs, and risk assessments.Ensure compliance with chemical industry construction norms, environmental guidelines, and statutory approvals.3. Contractor & Stakeholder CoordinationManage and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and vendors at site.Conduct daily/weekly progress meetings and address bottlenecks.Interface with engineering teams, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and client representatives.4. Safety & Quality AssuranceEnforce strict adherence to HSE practices, especially for chemical/process plant environments.Ensure quality compliance through inspections, audits, and documentation.Lead incident investigations and corrective action planning.5. Schedule, Cost & ReportingMonitor progress vs. plan and implement corrective measures for delays.Control construction costs, manpower, and material consumption at site.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project management.6. Commissioning & Handover SupportSupport pre-commissioning and commissioning teams.Ensure punch list closure, documentation, and final handover of completed facilities.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of EPC construction methodologies for chemical/process plants.Expertise in site planning, resource management, scheduling, and risk mitigation.Well-versed in safety standards: OSHA, OISD, chemical handling norms, etc.Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.Ability to manage multi-disciplinary contractors in a fast-paced project environment.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Chemical Engineering (preferred).18+ years of experience in EPC or chemical plant construction, including greenfield projects.Experience working on large process plant, refinery, petrochemical, or chemical facility projects.Interested & Qualified candidates can directly reach out to Hema - hemapriya.s@stancosolutions.com or 9962983011 (WhatsApp Only)
