Overview:

As the General Manager of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and directing the sales team to drive revenue growth, achieve sales targets, and expand market share. You will develop and implement sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, and foster a high-performance sales culture within the organization.


Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development:

●      Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.

●      Identify market opportunities, trends, and competitive threats to inform sales strategies.

  1. Team Leadership and Management:

●      Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals.

●      Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

  1. Customer Relationship Management:

●      Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.

●      Understand customer needs, preferences, and challenges to tailor sales approaches and solutions.

  1. Sales Process Optimization:

●      Streamline and optimise the sales process to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

●      Implement best practices and tools for sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking.

  1. Market Expansion and Growth:

●      Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market reach and penetration.

●      Develop and nurture strategic partnerships and alliances to drive sales growth and market expansion.

  1. Sales Performance Analysis and Reporting:

●      Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, trends, and KPIs to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.

●      Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management review.

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

●      Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives.

●      Coordinate with internal teams to address customer needs and resolve issues effectively.

  1. Compliance and Ethics:

●      Ensure that all sales activities and practices comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

●      Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability within the sales organisation.


Qualifications:


●      Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field. MBA preferred.

●      Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a minimum of [X] years of experience in sales management.

●      Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and achieve sales targets.

●      Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
