As a Backend Engineer for RingCentral Events, you will play a pivotal role in building

andmaintaining our virtual event platform. This role demands a strong skill set in bac

kenddevelopment with Ruby on Rails & good experience working on Docker, Kubernetes & Terra

formensuring our product's scalability and performance for large audience eve


nts.

    Build and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails, ensuring robust performance for large-scale virtual e
  • vents.Experience as a full stack engineer building cloud native web applications from frontend development with TypeScript, JS and React to backend development with RoR,
  • NodeJSImplement cloud-based solutions using AWS, with a focus on high availability and scalab
  • ility.Develop reliable and scalable solutions for both virtual and onsite environments, catering to a large number of concurrent users both virtually and o
  • nsite.Collaborate with globally distributed cross-functional teams on product develo
  • pment.Take part in on-call responsibilities (~1 day/month) to ensure continuous availability and quick response to issues in produ

    Minimum 15 yrs of experience in backend development, with significant expertise in Ruby o
  • n Rails.Demonstrate proficiency in developing cloud-native applications for large-scale, high-traffic environments (AWS,
  • Azure).Experience in developing RESTful APIs and/or
  • GraphQL.Knowledge of caching mechanisms, such a
  • s Redis.Experience with messaging queues like Kafka or R
  • abbitMQ.Familiarity with database management systems like AWS Aurora and Pos
