Job Description:

As a CAE Software Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining custom automation and optimization tools for engineering workflows. Your primary responsibilities will include:

·        Designing and developing software solutions to automate and optimize engineering processes.

·        Understanding client workflows and requirements, then recommending effective solutions and best practices.

·        Developing custom automation software within the CAE/CAD domain, for example extensions for major CAE software to enhance functionality.

·        Providing technical support to CAE engineers for automation tasks and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop and deploy high-quality automation solutions using Python or other languages such as C#, Visual Basic or Tcl.

·        Work closely with engineering teams to understand and analyze workflow requirements.

·        Integrate and customize major CAE software platforms through APIs to meet client-specific needs.

·        Maintain and enhance software tools, ensuring their robustness and performance over time.

·        Document solutions and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

·        Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Developer.

·        Strong understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods.

·        Proven programming skills in Python. Experience with other languages such as C# is a strong asset.

·        Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).

·        Knowledge of CAD/CAE APIs (e.g., ANSYS, Altair or similar) is a strong asset.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
