Nexplay Secure is a US based company that specializes in providing managed Information Technology and Infrastructure services to the hospitality industry and SMBs. The company was founded in 2023 with technology support for helping businesses protect their data and systems, remain safe from cyber threats, and get the best out of IT investments. 

 

We are seeking a Network Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing robust network infrastructures to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance of our organization's IT systems. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a secure and scalable network environment while staying abreast of emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Network Design and Architecture: 

  1. Design and Implement: Develop and implement complex network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and cloud solutions. 
  2. Scalability and Performance: Ensure network designs are scalable, reliable, and meet performance requirements. 


Network Management and Monitoring: 

  1. Troubleshooting: Lead the resolution of complex network issues and provide escalation support for less experienced engineers. 
  2. Monitoring: Implement and manage network monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and availability. 


Security: 

  1. Security Measures: Design and implement network security policies and solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs. 
  2. Compliance: Ensure the network complies with relevant security standards and regulations. 


Project Management: 

  1. Project Oversight: Oversee and manage network-related projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and delivery. 
  2. Coordination: Coordinate with other IT departments, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project success. 


Documentation and Reporting: 

  1. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. 
  2. Reporting: Generate and present reports on network performance, issues, and improvements to management. 


Upgrades and Maintenance: 

  1. Updates: Plan and execute network upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations. 
  2. Testing: Test and evaluate new hardware, software, and technologies before deployment. 


Training and Mentoring: 

  1. Training: Provide training and guidance to junior network engineers and other IT staff. 
  2. Mentoring: Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced team members. 


Vendor Management: 

  1. Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, including evaluating products and negotiating contracts. 
  2. Support: Ensure that third-party solutions and services are integrated effectively into the network environment. 


Disaster Recovery: 

  1. Planning: Develop and maintain network disaster recovery plans and procedures. 
  2. Testing: Regularly test disaster recovery processes to ensure they are effective. 


Continuous Improvement: 

  1. Optimization: Continuously assess and improve network performance and reliability. 
  2. Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends to incorporate best practices and new solutions. 


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  1. Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in Network Engineering & Operations 
  2. Minimum 3 years of System Administration with OpenSource systems (Linux)  
  3. BS in either CS or CE or equivalent work experience (5 years min)  
  4. Networking expertise equivalent to CCNP R&S level 
  5. Strong Wi-Fi expertise in high density deployments (multi vendors) 
  6. String working knowledge of various virtualization solutions (VMware, KVM)  
  7. Good knowledge of at least one high level programing languages (python preferred) 
  8. Familiarity with DevOps concept and tools (Ansible & Puppet)  
  9. AWS practitioner or equivalent knowledge in Azure 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:(OPTIONAL) 


  1. Minimum CCNA R&S or CCDA, preferred CCNP 
  2. Linux system administration certification (LFCS, LPT1, Linux+ or RHSA) 
  3. CWNA or equivalent (Ruckus Wise also acceptable)  
  4. AWS cloud practitioner or equivalent (GCP, Azure)
