Role Description
This is a contract role for a Senior HR Manager/Director at TechProjects for their USA Operations
*USA IT Staffing and consulting company experience is a must ( MIn of 5-10 Yrs)
** REMOTE, WORK From home any where in USA
. The Senior HR Manager/Director will be responsible for day-to-day HR operations, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, State law, Unemployment, state registrations, and compliance with labor laws. Additionally, they will lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion within the organization.
A Senior HR Manager or HR Director managing an IT staffing company in the USA needs to balance strategic HR functions with the complexities of IT recruitment, immigration compliance (H-1B, L-1, OPT, etc.), and workforce management. Must be able to manage 3-6 HR lead , HR entry level resources
Here's a breakdown of key responsibilities:
1. Employee onboarding Payroll with ADP, Contracts -- Employee onboarding process I-9 , Verification, Employee offer letters etc
- ADP Payroll Process requirements - state ,un employment registrations
- Preparing, editing, executing C2C,1099 contracts - Payment terms understanding and executing instructions form top management
- Ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) and labor laws.
- Ensure compliance with H-1B, F-1 (OPT/CPT), and Green Card (PERM) processes.
- Coordinate Labor Condition Applications (LCA), Public Access Files (PAF), and I-9 documentation.
- Work with immigration attorneys for timely filing of visas and extensions.
- Keep up-to-date with USCIS and DOL regulations affecting IT staffing.
- Educate employees on immigration processes and legal rights.
- Foster a strong employer-employee relationship to enhance retention.
- Address employee concerns related to work authorization, relocation, or compliance.
- Create career development plans for IT consultants to ensure growth and satisfaction.
- Mediate workplace conflicts and enforce company policies.
- Manage HR policies, employee contracts, and compensation structures.
- Oversee payroll processing for employees on H-1B and other visa types.
- Maintain compliance with DOL, IRS, and USCIS regulations for IT staffing firms.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal labor laws.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and MSPs (Managed Service Providers).
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party staffing partners.
- Collaborate with legal teams to mitigate risks in staffing contracts.
- Implement performance evaluation frameworks for IT consultants and internal staff.
- Provide training on cultural adaptation, workplace expectations, and technical skill development.
- Ensure compliance with continuous learning programs and upskilling initiatives.
- Develop competitive salary structures to attract and retain top IT talent.
- Manage health insurance, 401(k), and other benefits relevant to visa-holding employees.
- Ensure compliance with wage-level requirements for H-1B and L-1 employees.
- Align HR strategies with company goals for business growth and expansion.
- Explore new recruitment channels (LinkedIn, job portals, employee referrals).
