Job Overview 


As an SAP HANA Consultant, your primary responsibility is to develop and maintain applications that leverage the capabilities of the SAP HANA platform. Here's an overview of what your job might entail:.   

 


What is your role?


Full-time - Hybrid


  1. Application Development: You'll be responsible for developing custom applications that run on the SAP HANA platform. This could involve building new applications from scratch or extending existing applications to take advantage of SAP HANA's in-memory computing capabilities.   
  2. Data Modeling: A significant aspect of your role involves designing and optimising data models for SAP HANA databases. This includes defining data structures, partitioning strategies, and indexing schemes to ensure optimal performance for data-intensive applications. 
  3. SQL Scripting: You'll write and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and user defined functions to manipulate and analyse data stored in SAP HANA databases. This involves leveraging advanced SQL features supported by SAP HANA to perform complex data processing tasks efficiently. 
  4. Integration: You'll integrate SAP HANA with other systems and applications, both SAP and non-SAP, to enable seamless data exchange and interoperability. This could involve developing and consuming web services, implementing data replication and synchronisation processes, and integrating with middleware platforms.  
  5. Reporting: Assist in report and dashboard development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Provide technical guidance and support to end-users and report developers. Address user queries and issues related to BOBJ reports and dashboards
  6. Performance Optimization: You'll optimise the performance of SAP HANA applications by fine-tuning database configurations, query execution plans, and memory management settings. This involves identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks through profiling, monitoring, and tuning techniques. 
  7. Testing and Debugging: You'll conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP HANA applications. This involves debugging and troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.  
  8. Documentation: You'll create documentation for SAP HANA applications, including design specifications, technical documentation, and user manuals. This ensures that stakeholders have comprehensive guidance on the functionality and usage of the applications you develop.  
  9.  Collaboration: You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, testers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client requirements and project deadlines.  


About you


Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, or business. 


SAP Certifications: Professional and recognized Certifications in SAP HANA are preferred. 


Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP HANA modeling and SQL scripting. Knowledge of related technologies such as SAP BW and SAP S/4HANA is beneficial. 


Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, understanding their data requirements, and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
