Job Description:


This is a blended role that requires Analytical skills along with experience in Procurement.


Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases. Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., Just in Time purchases, use of EOQ - Economic Order Quantities). Resolves discrepancies. Creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise wide systems. Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards. Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Evaluates vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.


The Procurement Planner and Buyer takes plans, schedules and monitors logistics and supply chain services provided by NTT with the objective of achieving cost benefits, and customer satisfaction through the best possible solutions (flow of material, value, information) as well as optimising the processes and the use of resources. These individuals contribute to the execution of supply chain strategy that defines the connection and combination of activities and functions throughout the value chain..


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Cost analysis:


  • Should have sound hands on experience in analyzing cost and advise on cost efficiency.
  • Should have strong data analysis experience.


Procurement:


  • Should have worked in a procurement team
  • Has good knowledge of procurement activities and negotiations
  • Hands on experience in various aspects of procurement
  • Good commercial acumen


SAP Procurement Support:


  • Excellent knowledge of SAP
  • Generate and analyze SAP reports related to procurement activities.
  • Troubleshoot SAP-related issues and provide training and support to colleagues as needed


Vendor Management:


  • Support vendor selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring processes
  • Assist in maintaining vendor records and communication


Cost Analysis:


  • Help analyze procurement data and cost information within SAP for cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support cost control initiatives and budget tracking.


Reporting:


  • Generate and maintain procurement reports in SAP, summarizing key metrics and KPIs.
  • Assist in preparing reports for management to monitor procurement activities.


Team Collaboration:


  • Work closely with other procurement teams to coordinate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance and inventory management,.


Knowledge, skills and attributes:


  • Ability to establish working relationships based on collaboration, trust, and open communication
  • Ability to encourage co-innovation and service improvement with suppliers
  • Ability proactively engage suppliers for mutual benefit to resolve operational incidents, problems, poor performance and other sources of conflict
  • Ability to implement supplier management practices to support cloud-based services
  • Ability to implement clear escalation paths for discussing and resolving issues
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation to ensure compliance
  • Knowledge of commercial governance and supply chain management practices, practices and trends
  • Ability to manage risks associated with security, continuity, and integrity of supply
  • Ability to implement policies for selection of suppliers and bench-marking supplier performance
  • Ability to benchmark supplier performance
  • Knowledge of placing, monitoring and terminating contracts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
  • Well-developed leadership skills and have good strategic thinking ability
  • Display excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and ost breakdown
  • Ability to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements


Experience required:


  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and principles
  • Proficiency in SAP procurement modules is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Previous experience in procurement or supply chain roles is mandatory
  • Experience of working in a regional role is an added advantage but not mandatory
