Job Description

Damco is looking for Data Engineers with expertise in Azure Data services, Python, and big data processing. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in data engineering, particularly in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and SQL, with a problem-solving attitude and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and manage data processing workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks (PySpark), and SQL.
  • Implement data pipelines and data migration strategies within Azure ecosystems, focusing on Azure Synapse and Event Hubs (preferred).
  • Configure, provision, and manage data solutions on Azure Data Lake, ADW, and ADF.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data processing for big data and streaming pipelines (e.g., Kafka).
  • Develop and monitor data models and structures using MS SQL Server, Oracle, or other RDBMS platforms.
  • Utilize data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) for reporting and insights.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices, including Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Airflow where necessary.


Required Skills:

  • Azure Platform Expertise: ADF, ADL, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Event Hubs.
  • Programming Languages: Python, PySpark for big data processing.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in SQL, and knowledge of distributed databases and RDBMS.
  • Data Modeling and Data Structure Design: Strong analytical and data structuring skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize workflows.
