Position DRE Trims- Seating

  • CAD Software’s Catia V5, NX
  • Bachelors Degree/automobile/ production/ polymer engineering with prior plastic part design experience of minimum 5-6 & more than 8 years in CAD Software’s (CATIA & UG ).
  • Automotive industry background
  • Prior plastic part design experience & tooling knowledge of minimum 6 years in relevant engineering domains (interiors, acoustics etc.)
  • Prior Complete Seat design experience & tooling knowledge of minimum 4 - 5 years in relevant engineering domains (Seatings, interiors, exteriors etc).
  • Result-oriented team player with strong communication skills in English and or any other foreign language.
  • Hands on experience on Seating Plastic parts and Foam design
  • Own and update Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR), and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) - ensure functional objectives, guidelines and corporate requirements are met.
  • Work with other functions Design / Releasing teams to ensure consistency in requirements, standards, and practices across programs.
  • Thorough training/knowledge in program specific CAD software.
  • Execute design for manufacturing process and coordinate assembly process with manufacturing engineering.

  • Design and Release engineer in meeting program objectives for their components with respect to cost, weight, performance, quality, timing, manufacturing etc.,
  • Thorough experience in designing in required domain, i.e. Seating
  • Good knowledge of CAD Methodology and best practices.
  • Problem solving techniques.
  • Strategic and analytical capabilities.
  • coordinate Product Development meetings with suppliers
  • Coordinate change management
