Role Overview:
The Principal Consultant is a member of the Professional Services team who possesses a strong technical acumen, exceptional project management capabilities and serves as a subject matter expert for various industry-recognized email marketing platforms.
Principal Consultant bridges the back-end data model to the front-end campaign. Principal Consultant builds, adapts, and delivers campaigns with process design, and documentation to each project’s custom solution. They provide consistent and focused, but flexible Campaign Partnerships to Project Managers, Professional Services, and other cross-functional teams.
Role Expectations:
● Subject matter expert with an advanced understanding of all aspects of the industry standard email marketing platforms (SFMC, Oracle Responsys, Adobe Marketing cloud, Marketo etc)
● Skilled at automated set-ups such as APIs and triggered functions.
● Expert level knowledge in Multi-platform Integrations, Adobe/Google analytics suite.
● Expert level knowledge in Forms, Web amp scripts, E-commerce back-end wares scripting functions for specific case and issue resolutions.
● Expert level knowledge in Orchestrated Dynamic Campaigns, Content Builder, A/B Testing, Staggered Sends, Triggered Sends, Blackhole testing, Email Warm-Up etc.
● Full understanding to provide proactive solutions involving cross functional teams.
● Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive solution log for use in cross-trainings.
● Strict commitment towards timelines, deliverables and communications.
● Manages setup/testing/debugging efforts for event triggers, and their corresponding XML API protocols.
● Advanced knowledge of database set-ups and how to import, export and extract reporting from the platforms.
● Proficient understanding of data modeling, relational database theory, Dynamic blocks, advanced dynamic content and filters and table joins.
● Accountable for resolving client issues, proposing solutions and escalating to the appropriate person to the point of resolution.
● Assigned to any size campaign project and may mentor Consultants and Campaign Specialists from the Professional Services team.
● Owns special projects from start to completion, with little supervision or oversight
● Develops and maintains robust documentation and client presentations as needed.
● Escalation point of contact for team members who have technical questions or need support.
● Collaborating with the hierarchical Manager on recurring gaps in basic/intermediate platform knowledge of the team members.
Required Qualifications:
● 5+ years of experience in building Integrations, APIs, Martech Clouds, complex multi-channel campaigns, data acquisition forms.
● Expert Proficiency in front end web development with strong knowledge of hand-coding HTML and CSS , JavaScript, Go, Jquery and PHP
● Intermediate proficiency in XML, XSLT, and SQL.
● Experience testing in multiple email clients, browsers, and/or devices.
● Strong knowledge of the functionalities of email marketing platforms.
● Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills.
● Critical thinking skills by gathering and analyzing information from a diverse set of sources to fully understand a problem and produce solutions.
● Understanding of relational database fundamentals and related technology query tools.
● Strong project management skills.
