Job Description:

Progenics, a leader in innovative healthcare solutions, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Genetic Counselor to join our team in Visakhapatnam (Vizag). As a Genetic Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing genetic counseling services, supporting our patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide genetic counseling to patients and families regarding genetic conditions and risks.

- Interpret genetic testing results and communicate findings to patients and healthcare providers.

- Collaborate with physicians, geneticists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

- Educate patients about the implications of genetic testing, including potential outcomes and treatment options.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in genetics and genomics to provide accurate information and support to patients.

- Assist in the development and delivery of educational programs for patients and healthcare professionals.

- Document patient interactions and maintain detailed records in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

- M.Sc., in Genetic counseling / Medical Genetics /Genetics/Human Genetics, or a related field.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Genetic Counselor.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Language – Telugu-English-Hindi much preferable.
