Answer: As a DevOps Engineer, addressing a severity level 2 incident demands immediate attention and prompt action. The initial priority is to pinpoint the underlying cause of the problem and suggest the optimal resolution.



Role Description:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing collaboration between development and operations teams, automating and optimizing processes, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of software delivery pipelines and infrastructure.. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automation pipelines for software delivery, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment processes.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process, ensuring rapid and reliable deployment of code changes.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to provision and manage infrastructure resources in a scalable and efficient manner.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track system performance, detect issues, and troubleshoot problems proactively.
  • Configuration Management: Manage configuration drift and ensure consistency across development, testing, and production environments using tools like Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Security: Implement security best practices and protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
  • Cloud Services: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including proficiency in cloud-native services and architectures.
  • Scripting and Programming: Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for managing containerized applications at scale.
  • Version Control: Proficiency in version control systems like Git for managing code repositories and facilitating collaboration among development teams.



Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Computer Science or related area.
  • Good Communication Skills (Should be able to communicate with the US & Canada Team).
  • 0-3 years of experience.
  • Good knowledge of cloud providers like AWS, and GCP.
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages.
  • Aware of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Core DevOps tools like kubernetes, Jenkins Ansible, Grafana,Graylog..etc
  • Red Hat Certification or AWS Solution architect certification
  • Knowledge of logging and application monitoring tool solutions such as Graylog and Grafana/Prometheus
