Position: DP Economics Teacher

Location: Hyderabad

Type: Full-Time


Key Responsibilities-


Curriculum Delivery

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Economics lessons aligned with the IB DP curriculum.
  • Employ diverse teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.

Student Assessment

  • Design and administer formative and summative assessments to gauge student understanding and progress.
  • Provide detailed, constructive feedback to students and communicate effectively with parents.

Classroom Management

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Maintain discipline and manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.

Professional Development

  • Stay updated with the latest trends in Economics education and the IB DP framework.
  • Participate in professional development workshops, training sessions, and IB DP conferences to continuously improve teaching practices.

Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Engage in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and other activities as required.

Additional Duties

  • Guide students in their internal assessments and extended essays.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field. A Master’s degree in Economics is required.
  • Teaching certification, ideally with an IB DP Economics specialization.

Experience

  • Minimum of [specify years, e.g., 2-3 years] teaching experience, preferably within an IB DP school.
  • Proven track record of success in teaching Economics at the high school level.
