Sr ETL Profile –

PowerCenter:


  1. Must know about the architecture of Power Center.
  2. Should have good understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies
  3. Should know the output files that are created by the Informatica server at runtime. ex. Logs and Cache files.
  4. Should know about all the transformations, workflows, mappings, mapplets and their use in Informatica?
  5. Must have to know about Session, Command, Email, Event-Wait and Event-Raise tasks.
  6. Must have to know unit test case scenarios to UAT with quality deliverables.
  7. Admin activities like connection setup, Repository backup, restore and working experience on configuring databases like Oracle, MS SQL Server and file systems and good to have experience on Sales Force, Cloud Applications.
  8. Good to have Unix scripting skills for writing shell scripts and troubleshoot of existing scripts
  9. Should analyze data warehouse architecture, normalized/de-normalized, star schemas and snowflakes, slowly changing dimensions, surrogate key handling, exception data processing, troubleshoot and recommend improvements and alternate methodologies.


IICS:


  1. Should explain how the data integration process works and the architecture of IICS.
  2. Experienced with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services. Must have hands-on on Application and Data integration services.
  3. Should define Informatica Cloud Secure Agent Configuration and load balancing.
  4. Must have to debug and tune data in the integration processes.
  5. Should know Rest API / API Calling experience / API Connectors.
  6. Experience in preparing the Test plan, Detailed Test cases, writing Test Scripts by decomposing Business Requirements and developing Test Scenarios to support quality deliverables.
  7. Should participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural and requirement specifications
  8. Should possess understanding on REST Calls – GET/POST/PUT/DELETE, OAUTH validations, Pagination URLs.
  9. Good to have understanding on Mass Ingestion.



PL/SQL:


  1. Should lead the planning, design and implementation of complex data interfaces, transformations, and OLTP and OLAP databases.
  2. Must be proficient in creating Tables, Packages, Functions, Procedures, Views and Materialized Views.
  3. Must know on performance tuning to optimize a slow-running query.
  4. Should have to write complex queries using Subqueries, Correlated Subqueries, Merge statements and WITH clause statements.
  5. Must have to know different joins, Keys, Indexes used in SQL Queries.

CAI is optional


1.Strong experience in Informatica Power center Version 10 and above , Control M.

2. Good experience in data Load from OLTP systems to OLAP systems.

3. Dimensional modeling experience

4. Strong experience in SQL.

5. Basic understanding on PL/SQL.

6. Basic understanding on Administrations (Source to Target connections & Import and Export the codes to Server.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline with at least 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience extracting and summarizing data from a variety of data source types using Oracle SQL
  • Experience in using Oracle PLSQL or SQL Plus
  • Dimensional modeling experience
  • Experience interfacing with business users and understanding their requirements
  • Experience with Informatica 10 And or higher, Control-M , OBIEE, DAC ,Oracle 11.2.0.2 of higher
  • Ability to learn and implement new and different techniques
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Must have Understanding of business intelligence development in the IT industry
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • ETL routines, Database skills

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supporting data warehousing, data modeling, data integration, business intelligence and ETL processes
  • Use Informatica Mapping Designer to create/update mapping using different transformations required to move data into data warehouse
  • As the senior most ETL developer, take leadership of ETL tasks and supervise other ETL developers and solve difficult problems
  • Develops ETL’s using Informatica to facilitate Extraction Transformation and data Load from OLTP systems to OLAP
  • Responsible for installing, configuring, developing, support and maintenance of the BI
  • Determine data storage needs – evaluate the exact storage needs to have clear picture of the current data situation and analyze different options to determine the best
  • Design and create a data warehouse – designs a data warehousing system that meets needs and work with a development team to build the warehouse –

conceptual, logical and physical data models to include data conversion, data conversion and data mining.

  • Extract, Transformation and Load data – extract necessary data and transfer it to new
  • Test and troubleshoot – test designs of new system to ensure smooth operations and fix any issues that
  • Design schema using KPIs, Fact, Dimensions, Physical, Logical, Alias and Extension tables. Built Business Model and established relationships & Foreign Keys (Physical & Logical) between tables
  • Identify and capture lessons learned, best practices, and information gained during performance
