In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will collaborate closely with development teams in India and North America, as well as with business and customer stakeholders, to validate products through efficient automated and manual testing practices.The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in Selenium-based automation, a solid programming background, and a passion for building scalable and reliable testing solutions. If you’re eager to solve real-world challenges and work with modern technologies in an Agile environment, this is the perfect role for youKey Responsibilities:Automation Strategy: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test automation frameworks for both front-end and back-end services using Python and other appropriate tools/languages.API Testing: Create robust automated API tests for the back-end services built on Fast API, including functional, integration, and performance testing.Front-End Testing: Develop end-to-end and component-level automated tests for the front-end application built with Next.js and TypeScript, ensuring excellent user experience and functional integrity.Data Validation: Write complex SQL queries for data validation and integrity testing against our Postgres SQL databases.DevOps and CI/CD: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines using Microsoft Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Test Plans), advocating for a "shift-left" testing approach.Cloud Environment: Work within the Microsoft Azure Platform ecosystem, leveraging Azure services for test environment setup, execution, and monitoring.Quality Advocacy: Collaborate closely with development and product teams to define quality criteria, perform code reviews, and drive best practices in software development and testing.Manual Testing: Conduct exploratory and manual testing for complex scenarios and usability, where automation is impractical.Qualifications & Skills:Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation, with a focus on a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role.Expert-level proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting (e.g., Pytest, behave).Strong experience with modern back-end frameworks like Fast API (or similar Python web frameworks) for API test design.Solid experience with modern front-end technologies, particularly Next.js, TypeScript, and styling frameworks like Tailwind.In-depth knowledge of Postgres SQL for data testing and validation.Hands-on experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices using Microsoft Azure DevOps.Experience with Linux command-line environment and scripting for testing and deployment activities.Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Azure Platform services related to application hosting and databases.Professional Qualifications:Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and testing best practices (e.g., TDD, BDD).Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing, geographically distributed team.Month-to-Month Activities (Summary):Months 1–2: Project onboarding, requirement analysis, environment setup, test strategy and planning.Months 3–4: Test case design, Functional & Integration Testing, defect tracking, automation framework setup.Months 5–6: UAT support, regression automation, API and report validation, stakeholder collaboration.Months 7–9: Test optimization, expanded automation coverage, continuous validation across releases, performance tracking.Months 10–12: Production validation, process improvement, QA metrics reporting, mentoring junior testers, automation maintenance.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Test Quality: High test coverage, reduced defect leakage, improved defect detection rate.Automation Efficiency: Increased automation coverage, faster regression cycles, reduced manual effort.Delivery Excellence: On-time completion of test cycles, adherence to sprint timelines, minimal UAT defects.Collaboration: Positive feedback from cross-functional teams, effective communication with stakeholders.Continuous Improvement: Enhanced test frameworks, optimized processes, measurable productivity gains.Why You’ll Love Working HereAt Fulfillment IQ, we don’t just build supply chain solutions—we build careers, friendships, and unforgettable experiences.As an equal opportunity employer, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.Here’s what makes working with us a rewarding experience:Work That Matters• Imagine being part of projects that reshape the supply chain industry and create real-world impact.
