Job Description:

Netstratum is looking for a Network Engineer with Windows and Solarwinds having 5+ years of experience. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our development and operations teams to ensure the smooth delivery and operation of our software solutions.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement technology solutions that enable the business.
  • Develop software tools to facilitate DevOps responsibilities in the CI / CD product integration.
  • Lead and collaborate with teams in an Agile development cycle.
  • Automate and standardize processes for infrastructure deployment and system administration using Python and other automation tools.
  • Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, and capacity to ensure Service
  • Level Agreements are met using Icinga, Nagios, Grafana, Kafka, Prometheus and ELK.
  • Take proactive steps to improve infrastructure availability and performance.
  • Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade server infrastructure.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Identify potential security vulnerabilities, bug fixes and status of affected versions of hardware/software, applying updates as needed.
  • Support, update and administer third-party applications.
  • Work with team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business
  • requirements and systems goals, as well as identify and resolve business objectives, leveraging technology.
  • Support, update, and administer third-party applications, including SolarWinds for network monitoring and management.
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies and toolsets for improving or further leveraging these systems.


Desired skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms, specifically Azure or AWS.
  • Skilled in containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Competent in writing and optimizing shell scripts.
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with source code management tools like GIT and GitHub.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts including VLAN and IPSEC Tunnel.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Kafka, Prometheus, and Loki.
  • Proven Expertise with Terarform, including its configuration, customization, and integration capabilities
  • Good understanding of Zabbix, Jenkins, private cloud environments, and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Bash, Terraform.
  • Practical experience with virtualization solutions including VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Expertise in SolarWinds for network performance monitoring and management.
