About Role:


As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for guiding and coaching Scrum Teams to effectively implement agile practices and principles. This role requires facilitating agile events, promoting collaboration, and shielding the team from interruptions. Additionally, you will support the Product Owner in managing the Product Backlog and ensure the Scrum Team delivers high-quality products and services while continuously evolving and adapting in a dynamic environment.  


Key Objectives:

• Member of an Agile team practicing Scrum principles

• Leadership role in managing, advocating, orchestrating, and supporting Scrum theory, values, events, and artifacts

• Servant leadership approach within one or more Scrum teams to maximize value creation

• Collaboration with cross-functional teams including product owners, software developers, and testers Process


Improvement and Implementation:

• Implementing and continuously improving the Scrum team's way of working

• Promoting agile values, principles, practices, and methods for sustainable agile understanding

• Organizing and facilitating agile events while ensuring adherence to agile rules


Team Support and Leadership:

• Serving as a servant leader, sparring partner, conflict resolver, and coach to the Scrum Team

• Supporting the Product Owner in effective management of the Product Backlog to maximize value

• Supporting the Development Team to work self-organized and self-directed


Problem-Solving and Collaboration:

• Shielding the Scrum Team from interruptions to maintain a trusting, collaborative environment

• Proactively identifying and removing impediments to the team's progress

• Resolving team impediments with other Scrum Masters to enhance the application of Scrum


Skill Development and Coaching:

• Guiding and coaching the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles for delivering high-quality products and services

• Coaching the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skill sets, and domain knowledge

• Recognizing areas of strength and improvement within the team and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques


Community Engagement and Learning: 

• Contributing to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization

• Participating in the agile community of practice to share knowledge and continuously learn from others


Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar role

• Proficient in facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency, and servant leadership

• Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, and Scaled Agile

• Experienced in agile techniques including automated testing, user stories, TDD, continuous integration, testing, pairing, and agile games

• Holds a recognized certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., Scrum Alliance CSM)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong technical proficiency in JIRA and Confluence

• Fluent in spoken and written English

• Capable of orchestrating across multiple agile teams

• Demonstrates a hands-on, results-driven mentality

• Previous experience with distributed teams and virtual collaboration
