Position - Unit HeadFunction - Manufacturing OperationsYears of Experience – 18 - 25 yearsBusiness - ChemicalsPreferred Qualification – B.E / B.Tech in Chemicals Job Location – Balabhadhrapuram, Andhra PradeshJob Purpose:To provide the leadership to the plant operation and strategic supply chain management withoperational integration of different business processes with common functions (statutorycompliance) at unit level. Formulation and deployment of unit strategy for future sustainablegrowth in line with market need.Key Result Areas:1 - Business Strategy - Contribute to the future of business in following areas.1. Anticipate opportunities and challenges for the business based on understanding of market, customer interaction and insight into competition. 2. Share insights on local market trends (such as analytics, digitization) to Marketing heads and SBU head, along with recommendations on product mix/optimization. 3. Participate in and actively support Strategic Initiatives.2 - Safety & Risk Management - Institute and sustain, systems for managing. a. Process Safety b. Transportation Safety c. Contractor (workforce) Safety d. Behavioral Safety.3 - Operational Management - 1. Drive KPIs on Manufacturing Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Maintenance and Reliability, HR & IR, Cost and Commercial 2. Achieve and Maintainplant efficiency and product quality through technology upgradation. 3. Develop and Sustain Metrics towards compliance, EHS, Sustainability and CSR. 4. Align with HO and maintain robust MIS at unit level.4 - Stakeholder Management EXTRERNAL INTERNAL - 1. Proactively establish and maintain interaction with regulatory and government bodies, local administration and public figures, community leaders/influencers, transport associations. Advocate alignment with Group values in all interactions between Unit and stakeholders. 2. Interact with local industrial units to enable quicker flow of information to manage emergencies and key support infrastructure such as power supply, water supply, chlorine ancillarisation, transport safety. 3. Determine how to optimize product mix, influence CMOs with insight on local market dynamics., 4. Develop a supply chain with the involvement of CPC that is competitive, quality conscious compliant and agile.5 - Functional Review and Collaboration - 1. Set clear expectations and KRAs for each function, enhance role clarity, balance accountability and authority. 2. Drive cross-functional collaboration to proactively work in continual improvement, innovation and attending customers complaints 3. Collaborate productively with all Central Functions at achieve the functional metrics jointly. 4. Develop Unit Management for emergencies.6 - Financial and Cost Management - 1. Identify benchmarks and means of cost optimization forkey drivers such as power, water and transportation, and incorporate measures to drive cost competitiveness. 2. Prioritize budget and capex requirements.7 - Compliance and Corporate Governance - 1. Develop healthy engagement at the unit amongst all levels of employees. 2. Identify & Develop key skills and competencies for all roles 3. Provide and plan career development opportunities for direct reports and drive the same across functions. 4.
