Responsibilities:

As a Veterinary Medicine Professional at Samvedna Development Society, you will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting comprehensive health assessments and diagnosing illnesses in large cattle, with a special emphasis on buffalo herds.
  2. Implementing treatment plans for various medical conditions, including routine check-ups and emergency cases.
  3. Administering medications and vaccines as required, ensuring accurate dosage and adherence to best veterinary practices.
  4. Collaborating with the broader veterinary team to develop and implement preventive healthcare programs.
  5. Providing guidance and support to on-site staff in handling large cattle, especially buffalo caws.
  6. Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records for each animal under your care.
  7. Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and incorporating best practices into daily operations.
  8. Participating in community outreach programs to educate local stakeholders on animal health and welfare.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  1. A Master's degree in Veterinary Science from a recognized institution.
  2. 5-6 years of hands-on experience in the field of large cattle medicine, with a focus on buffalo herds.
  3. Strong diagnostic and treatment skills, with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members and local communities.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  6. Knowledge of local livestock practices and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by large cattle in the region.
