We are seeking a MongoDB Administrator with 2+ years of experience to manage and optimize our MongoDB databases for high performance and reliability. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in database administration, security, replication, and performance tuning in high-availability AI-driven environments. They should be ready to work from Our Chennai or Coimbatore office

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB databases in on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, replication, and indexing for AI applications.
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Manage MongoDB clusters, sharding, and replica sets for scalability and high availability.
  • Ensure database security, user access controls, and compliance with data protection standards.
  • Automate database maintenance, monitoring, and alerting using MongoDB Ops Manager, Cloud Manager, or Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Work closely with AI & Data Engineering teams to design efficient NoSQL data models.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, slow queries, and system failures.
  • Assist in CI/CD pipeline integration for database changes in DevOps environments.
  • Keep up with MongoDB updates and industry best practices to improve system efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a MongoDB Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of MongoDB architecture, replication, and sharding strategies.
  • Experience with query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas, AWS DocumentDB, or other cloud-hosted MongoDB solutions.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting for database automation.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (Mongodump, Mongorestore, MMS, or Percona).
  • Working knowledge of Python or Bash for automation.
  • Understanding of database security best practices and RBAC implementation.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with AI & Big Data workloads on NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL, REST APIs, and integrating MongoDB with AI pipelines.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized MongoDB deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
