In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the automation strategy within the organization. This role involves leading a team of automation engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize automation solutions that meet business needs.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the organization's automation strategy, aligning it with business objectives.
  • Define and communicate automation goals, standards, and best practices.

  • Ensure automation solutions are aligned with industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality delivery of software products.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of automated testing efforts.
  • Maintain and optimize existing automation frameworks and tools.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve automation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Address any issues or technical challenges related to automation.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of automation processes, frameworks, and tools.
  • Provide regular reports on automation initiatives, including performance metrics and ROI.
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to team members and other stakeholders on automation tools and best practices.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team and across the organization.



Qualifications we seek in you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in automation engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of automation frameworks, tools, and technologies (e.g., Selenium, Jenkins, Ansible).
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, PowerShell).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their automation capabilities.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.


Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Certifications in relevant automation tools and technologies.
  • Experience with robotic process automation (RPA) tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
