A renewable energy company based out of Udaipur, Rajasthan is looking for talented individuals for the post of Mechanical Design Engineer. The major products of the company are Solar Energy based products. We require a dynamic individual who is technically sound and is willing to take up the challenge. 


As a solar design engineer specializing in 3D design, fieldwork, and structure design and analysis for solar installations, your role would be multifaceted, involving both technical expertise and practical application. Here's an outline of the key aspects of your job:

  1. Education and Qualifications:
  • Degree in mechanical or civil engineering, preferably with a focus on renewable energy or solar engineering.
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, structural analysis software, and possibly specialized solar design software.


Solar System Design:

  • Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and designs for solar panel installations, considering factors such as site layout, shading analysis, and structural integrity.
  • Optimize designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to local regulations and standards.


Structural Analysis:

  • Perform structural analysis of solar mounting systems to ensure they can withstand wind, snow, and other environmental loads.
  • Consider factors such as soil conditions, seismic activity, and structural material properties in the design process.


Fieldwork and Implementation:

  • Conduct site visits to assess feasibility, gather data, and oversee the implementation of solar projects.
  • Collaborate with contractors, electricians, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth installation and integration of solar systems.


Project Management:

  • Coordinate with various teams and departments throughout the project lifecycle, from design and permitting to construction and commissioning.
  • Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines to ensure successful completion within specified parameters.


Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure that solar installations meet all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify that designs are implemented correctly and functioning as intended.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on advancements in solar technology, materials, and design methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and innovation to enhance the efficiency and performance of solar installations.


Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain thorough documentation of design plans, calculations, and project-related communications.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing project outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for future improvements.


Overall, your role as a solar design engineer would involve a blend of technical analysis, creative problem-solving, and hands-on project management to drive the successful implementation of solar energy systems.
