You will lead backend development efforts, manage a talented team of engineers, and ensure successful delivery of scalable, high-performance systems.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and maintenance of backend services using Java, Flink, Python, and Kafka.Translate business needs into technical requirements and create clear implementation strategies.Architect and optimize real-time streaming pipelines and event-driven microservices.Manage and monitor distributed systems with New Relic, Splunk, and Airflow.Work hands-on with AWS services (PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB) to build and maintain cloud-native solutions.Oversee Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.Implement DevOps best practices using Kubernetes and Docker for deployment and scalability.Mentor and guide the engineering team, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and adherence to technical best practices.Must-Have Qualifications7–10 years of relevant experience in backend development and team leadership.Proven expertise in Kafka and event-driven architectures.Strong command over Java, Python, and AWS Cloud Services.Hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, New Relic, and Splunk.Strong problem-solving ability with a DevOps and ownership mindset.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with business stakeholders.Tech StackProgramming Languages: Java, Python, FlinkCloud & Databases: AWS (PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB)Streaming & Messaging: KafkaInfrastructure-as-Code: Terraform / CloudFormationMonitoring & Orchestration: Airflow, New Relic, SplunkContainerization: Kubernetes, DockerWhy Join UsOpportunity to lead high-impact retail technology projects from inception.Collaborative culture that values autonomy, innovation, and technical excellence.Exposure to cutting-edge event-driven and cloud-native architectures.Long-term engagement with a key enterprise account in its foundational phase.Apply on LinkedIn
