Role Overview

Lead and grow our Ayurveda Ophthalmology (Shalakya Tantra) service. Deliver evidence-informed protocols, high patient satisfaction, and robust clinical governance across OPD and procedure rooms.

Dehradun / Rishikesh (onsite)


Salary

₹5,00,000 – ₹14,00,000 per annum (per knowledge/experience)


Key Responsibilities

1 .Clinical & Consultations

  • * Conduct comprehensive Ayurvedic eye assessment consultations ((netra pareeksha, Nadi Pariksha, Prakriti/Vikriti assessment, integrate available diagnostics visual acuity, refraction via optometrist, slit-lamp/ tonometry ).

•Diagnose netra roga and design individualized plans: internal medicines, diet & lifestyle, (Anjana, Aschyotana, Parisheka/Seka, Pindi, Bidalaka , Netra Tarpan )

* Diagnose and prescribe personalised Panchakarma protocols, internal medicines, rasayana plans, diet, and lifestyle modifications.

* Provide ongoing clinical reviews for in-house and telemedicine patients; document notes

  • Clear protocol for red-flags (sudden vision loss, severe pain/redness, trauma/chemical burn, suspected acute glaucoma, endophthalmitis, vision threatening infections).

* Patient counselling (home care, eye ergonomics), talks/webinars, screening camps; collaborate with marketing for content


Essential Qualifications

  • BAMS from a recognized university; valid State/NCISM registration.

 • Preferred: MD/MS (Ay) – Shalakya Tantra. (BAMS with strong Kriyakalpa skills may apply if you have relevant experience and/ Certificate in Ayurvedic Opthalmology )


Experience

  • Target: 3–12+ years in Ayurveda eye care.
  • Fresh MD/MS (Ay) Shalakya with strong internships/caselog.

Demonstrated ability in planning/executing Kriyakalpa and integrated eye-care programs.


Soft Skills & Leadership

  • Patient empathy and excellent counselling; bilingual (English/Hindi).
  • Team training & supervision (therapists/junior doctors); collaborative with ophthalmologists/optometrists when needed.

• •  High personal integrity, sattvic lifestyle orientation, and willingness to live full-time in Dehradun /Rishikesh style environment.
