Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the full-cycle finance operations of Candian Asset Management and

Company Corporation’s group of entities. This is a highly visible role that interacts with many other

departments, including private funds, treasury, tax, and finance teams in other parts of the world:

 Maintain accurate books and records for all transactions involving the Canadian asset

manager; work closely with the treasury team to obtain and document proper

understanding for each transaction.

 Perform and review regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify

discrepancies.

 Perform and review intercompany reconciliations across business groups and regional

entities.

 Assist with quarterly reporting and the consolidated results of the asset management

operations.

 Assist in preparation of various analyses and reports for senior management to support their

business decision making.

 Calculate and compile private fund management fees.

 Maintain organized and well-documented policies and procedure documents.

 Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in

bookkeeping and financial reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must Have:

 Chartered accountant with two- five years of experience working in a corporate accounting or

audit firm, preferably in financial services or asset management.


 The ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to manage

changing priorities and deadlines.

 Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

 Very strong attention to detail

 Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.

 Self-motivated, resourceful, and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and

professional development.

Nice to Have:

 Experience in the following would be advantageous.

o Dynamics 365

o Complex legal structures
