Overview / Detailed Job Summary

Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing and Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest/ background in manufacturing flow and process, material tracking, BOM management, and change management. This role requires expertise in managing lead times, understanding of manufacturing testing, DFT/DFM, and yield improvement techniques. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in vendor management, planning builds, and understanding electronic part datasheets and specifications.

Areas Of Responsibility

Manufacturing Flow and Process

  • Oversee and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Worked on/interested in semiconductor chip fabrication processes, or PCBA manufacturing processes.

Material Tracking and BOM Management:

  • Manage material tracking systems, ensure accurate BOM management, and implement efficient change management practices (ECN).
  • Monitor and manage lead times effectively to maintain production schedules.

Manufacturing Testing and Processes:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing test plans, ensuring product quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to enhance product yield and process efficiency.

DFT/DFM Review and Yield Improvement:

  • Conduct DFT (Design for Test) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews to optimize product design for manufacturability and testability.
  • Utilize process scorecards and yield improvement techniques to enhance manufacturing performance.

Vendor Management and Procurement:

  • Manage vendor relationships, including handling shortage reports, vendor scorecards, and RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes.
  • Negotiate quotes and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement and timely delivery of materials.

Production Planning and Capacity Management:

  • Plan and coordinate builds, ensuring adequate capacity and resources to meet production targets.
  • Manage factory operations, including scheduling and resource allocation to optimize production efficiency.

Technical Understanding and Documentation:

  • Review and understand electronic part datasheets, specifications, and electrical parameters.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and provide support for part qualification and supply chain enabling.

Experience And Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing flow, process optimization, and supply chain management within the semiconductor or electronics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing environment & principles, yield improvement techniques, and manufacturing test processes.
  • Excellent vendor management skills, with experience in handling RFQs, quotes, and supplier negotiations.
