We, The Test Tribe, are a Workforce Development Startup backed by the world’s largest Tech QA Community, with members in 150+ countries. We are known for sticking to a very high-quality Bar and constantly raising it as we move ahead. This applies to anything we do, whether it falls under Services or Products. We are now looking to rapidly grow our newly launched product line and are searching for a passionate Senior Visual Communications Designer who would own, plan, and execute the end-to-end visual communications work (Graphics, UI UX, Video) at The Test Tribe. Someone who can make a difference and believes in rapid growth. Someone who is super ambitious and a go-getter.


About the Role:

You'll work directly with the CEO, Head of Growth, and other Function Leads to define and execute our brand communication across various platforms. Your role is pivotal in shaping how millions of testers worldwide perceive and interact with our brand. In our quest for quality, we seek someone who shares our high standards and is dedicated to delivering exceptional visual experiences.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategize and Execute Visual Communication Plans:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive visual communication strategies aligned with our brand identity and business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.


Design Leadership:

  • Lead the creation of high-quality graphics, UI/UX designs, and videos (a great plus) for entire web and media presence.
  • Maintain consistency in visual elements and uphold brand guidelines in all design projects.


UI/UX Excellence:

  • Work closely with the product team to enhance user experience through intuitive and engaging UI/UX designs.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.


Team Collaboration and Mentorship:

  • Lead a team of full-time and part-time designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, offering fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.


Project Management:

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery without compromising on quality.
  • Gather and implement feedback from stakeholders, iterating designs as necessary.


Stay Ahead of Design Trends:

  • Keep abreast of the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Integrate modern design practices to keep our visual communication fresh and engaging.


Requirements and Skills:


Proven Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in graphic design, UI/UX design, or a similar role.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual design and UI/UX projects.


Technical Proficiency:

  • Mastery of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Figma, Canva, etc.
  • Experience with video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects is a significant advantage.


Creative Visionary and Storyteller:

  • Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into compelling visual narratives.


Strong Communicator:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate design concepts and decisions clearly to stakeholders.


Analytical and Detail-Oriented:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to analyze user feedback and data to inform design improvements.


Educational Background:

  • A degree in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Proof of work matters the most.


Bonus Skills:

  • Experience in the tech or software testing industry.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS for better collaboration with development teams.
