  • Responsibilities:

3D Modeling and Texturing

  • Develop detailed 3D models and assets with an eye for realism, scale, and proportions.
  • Create and apply textures and materials that are optimized for VR performance.

Character Development

  • Develop detailed and realistic 3D character models with proper scale and proportions.
  • Create and apply textures and materials optimized for VR performance.
  • Design and develop props and other supporting assets.

Rigging

  • Create and implement efficient and flexible rigging systems for characters and props.
  • Develop and apply blend shapes for facial animations and expressions.

Animation (This Is the primary requirement)

  • Develop and animate characters, machinery, and other elements for VR simulations, ensuring real-time performance optimization.
  • Create smooth, realistic animations for characters, including walk cycles, gestures, and other movements.
  • Integrate animations from Maya/Blender into Unity, ensuring seamless transitions and performance.
  • Ensure that animations are optimized for real-time performance in VR.
  • Export blend shape animations for facial or other minute animations.

Exporting Animations for Unity

  • Knowledge of exporting animations for Unity, including keyframe bone animation and blend shapes.
  • Ensure exported animations are optimized for performance and compatibility within Unity.

Asset Optimization

  • Optimize 3D assets for performance, ensuring they maintain visual fidelity while performing efficiently within a VR environment.
  • Should be proficient with the concept of PBR workflow.
  • Expert in creating low-poly assets.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with developers, instructional designers, and other team members to ensure that 3D content aligns with project goals and vision.
  • Provide creative input during team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct regular reviews and iterations of 3D assets to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.
  • Address feedback from team members and clients and make necessary adjustments.

Mentorship

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior 3D artists in the team.
  • Share knowledge and expertise on best practices in the industry.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a 3D Character Animation Artist, with a focus on character development and animation for games or simulations.
  • Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D character modeling, texturing, rigging, blend shapes, and animation.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in 3D software such as Maya/Blender, and texturing software like Substance Painter and Photoshop.
  • Rigging and Animation: Proficient in character rigging, creating blend shapes, and animating characters for real-time applications.
  • Integration Skills: Knowledge of integrating animations from Maya/Blender into Unity, ensuring seamless workflow and performance.
  • Exporting Animations: Experience with exporting animations for Unity, including keyframe bone animation and blend shapes.
  • Optimization Techniques: Knowledge of optimization techniques for real-time rendering, especially in VR.
  • Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
  • Passion: Demonstrated passion for VR technology and innovations in training and simulation.
